Let’s take a look at the Club’s most recent triumphs. With Sheedy at the helm, the Dons recorded some truly unforgettable Grand Final victories. The ’84 and ’85 back-to-back Premierships reignited Essendon’s mega status after a 19-year drought and it was soon after that the ‘Baby Bombers’ made their mark in 1993. The most dominant of all, however, has to be the 2000 Premiership triumph – a season where the Dons won 24 of a possible 25 games to remain atop the ladder for the entire season before defeating Melbourne by a whopping 10-goal margin.
